As you’ll notice we are a gated community and have an active homeowner’s association. In order to gain access to the neighborhood, you will need to be set up as users in the gate system. You may also purchase fobs for the entrance gate for $30 each. You may request gate access codes and fobs by emailing the HOA at hoa@brookescrossing.com.
Please keep your remotes secure and security codes confidential.
To use your remote control simply press it near the call box.
To use your security code, press #, followed by the security code.
When guests arrive at the callbox, they may dial your three-digit directory number (provided by the HOA) OR scroll through the list of names. When they find the person they are visiting they press “call” and the gate will call your phone number. The call will come from 205-308-2556 (you may wish to save this number in your phone). You may answer the call and press 9 to open the gates or # to deny access.
When entering or leaving the neighborhood please approach the gates slowly and with caution. When entering you must always enter your code or use your gate fob or you may not make it through the gate. When leaving the neighborhood please pull slowly up to the outbound gate. The gate should open. If you catch the gate closing it may respond and open again. If not, please let it close, back up and reapproach the gate.
**Please note if the gates are open you still must slow down to almost a stop going through the gates and allow time for the sensors to pick up your vehicle. They only stay open for approximately 20 seconds after opening and last vehicle clearing the sensors. If the gate is closing you will not make it through the gate. If you are tailgating another vehicle you may or may not make it through without the gate hitting your car.
Under no circumstances are you to enter/exit thru the wrong entrance side.
The HOA is not responsible if you or your guests hit the gate. Please advise your guests on the proper operation of the gates.
CAMERAS. Video cameras record all inbound and outbound traffic including license plates.
All emergency responders, schools, trash, mail, delivery services, and other entities have been given an access code. Other businesses may request an access code by contacting the HOA.
